A METROPOLITAN Police officer has been arrested in South Wales by anti-corruption officers investigating the alleged illegal supply of steroids to weight trainers and body builders. A Metropolitan Police spokesman said the men are believed to be linked to a network supplying steroids to hundreds of people across South Wales. The Met officer arrested as part of the raids yesterday was held on suspicion of supplying controlled class C drugs and was being questioned in Swansea last night. Yesterday’s raids were carried out by members of Scotland Yard’s directorate of professional standards with officers from South Wales Police’s anti-corruption team. The raids formed part of an ongoing investigation into the supply of anabolic steroids in both pill and injectable forms to bodybuilders and weight trainers. read more
