Several people took advantage of free services, such as blood pressure screening, at Samaritan Healthcare’s Community Health Fair Saturday. MOSES LAKE — Many people attended the Samaritan Healthcare Community Health Fair at Pioneer Medical Center in Moses Lake Saturday. At the health fair, participants were offered several free screenings to show what services are available at Samaritan and to encourage people to be proactive about their health, said Community Relations Coordinator Connie Opheikens. Opheikens explained some people came to the health fair because they no longer have health insurance due to job loss or because their insurance deductible increased. At the body fat screening station, people were having their body fat measured to determine if they are in a safe range. read more
